My Story

I've spent my career in the industries where the work is real — agribusiness, agriculture, construction, operations. The kind of work where you earn respect with your sleeves rolled up, not from a corner office.

Over that time I've held roles across sales, leadership, and operations — and what I kept seeing was the same pattern: talented leaders who genuinely cared about their people, buried under everything else. Reports. Admin. Accountability systems that never quite worked. Meetings that should have been a conversation.

The result was predictable. Employee disengagement. Turnover. Culture drift. Not because the leaders didn't care — but because the operational demands left no room for the human side of leadership.

That's what People First Consulting exists to solve.

My Philosophy

There are two kinds of work in leadership.

The work you have to do — tracking performance, managing compliance, running the numbers, documenting processes. This work is necessary. But it is not where leaders change lives.

The work you get to do — coaching someone through a hard moment, recognizing a team that went above and beyond, building the kind of trust that makes people stay — that's where the real return is. That's the work that builds organizations people are proud to be part of.

My job is to help leaders reclaim their time for the second kind.

That means building smarter systems, adopting tools (including AI where it genuinely helps), and developing the leadership habits that create consistent, sustainable results — without sacrificing the human connection that makes it all worth it.

My philosophy is simple: strategy has to connect to execution, leaders have to model the standards they set, and culture has to drive results — not just feel good on a poster.
